The Double Cluster in Perseus was an easy naked-eye smudge and a real treat at low power. Steady seeing for once.
A running notebook of clear nights, star hops and the occasional lucky glimpse of something faint. Nothing professional — just a small refractor, a folding chair and a thermos of tea.

Chased the Orion Nebula again. The Trapezium split cleanly into four; tried and failed to nudge out the fifth star.
Kit
A 102mm doublet, a couple of plossl eyepieces, and a red torch that keeps going missing under the leaves.
